What should I expect during my appointment?

You’ll be welcomed by an NHS-trained clinical scientist who will explain the test clearly. Each assessment is calm, straightforward and lasts between 10 and 45 minutes, depending on the test.

Will my GP or consultant be informed of my results?

We send your results directly to your GP or consultant to support continuity of care.

Who performs the tests?

All tests are carried out by NHS-trained clinical scientist with over 13 years’ experience in heart diagnostics.

When is an echocardiogram recommended?

An echocardiogram is often recommended for symptoms such as shortness of breath, palpitations, chest discomfort, swollen ankles or suspected valve problems. It is also recommended if you have been told you've a murmur, abnormal ECG, past episodes of passing/blacking out and family history of heart conditions including sudden cardiac death.

What’s the difference between an ECG and a Holter monitor?

An ECG records your heart’s electrical activity for a few seconds while you lie still. A Holter monitor records your heart rhythm continuously for 24 hours to 7 days as you go about your day.

What if my results indicate a problem?

We’ll explain everything clearly and discuss the next steps. If further review is needed, we can arrange priority consultant referrals through our trusted network.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

We offer appointments within 5 working days, often sooner depending on the test and location.

What does a cardiac risk assessment involve?

It typically includes an ECG, blood pressure check, lifestyle review, risk scoring and a discussion about your long-term heart health.

How long will it take to receive my results?

Most results are delivered within 3 working days, with more detailed studies returned in up to 5 working days.

How do I book an appointment?

You can book online, call us directly, or if you’re unsure, please call us and we can discuss your requirements.

Can I take my regular medication before my test?

In most cases, yes — you can continue your usual medication. If a specific preparation is needed, we’ll let you know in advance.

Do you offer home visits?

Yes. We can provide home visits for Echocardiography, ECG, Ambulatory ECG and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring if you find it difficult to travel.

Do I need a GP referral to book an appointment?

No — you can book directly with us. A referral is not required if you are not on a waiting list. If you are on a waiting list, please ask your GP for a copy of your referral and bring it along with you.

Can you provide workplace heart-health services?

Yes. We offer tailored assessments for corporate workplaces, including group testing and on-site screening. we also offer education sessions on looking after the heart.

Do you offer cardiac screening?

Yes, we provide screening to anyone from the age of 14, also provide a screening service to gyms and sports teams.

Are your clinics accessible?

Yes — all clinics have easy parking and accessible facilities, and we offer home visits if needed.
