What to expect during your screening
Your cardiac screening will include a series of non-invasive tests tailored to your individual needs. These tests may encompass:
- Basic cardiac screening - Consultation with a Clinical Scientist, electrocardiogram (ECG) and blood pressure.
- Basic cardiac screening plus - Consultation with a Clinical Scientist, ECG, blood pressure and cardiac blood profile.
- Standard cardiac screening - Consultation with a Clinical Scientist, ECG, blood pressure and echocardiogram (heart scan).
- Enhanced cardiac screening - Consultation with a Clinical Scientist, ECG, blood pressure, echocardiogram (heart scan) and cardiac blood profile.
Each test is designed to provide a picture of your cardiovascular health, and our specialists will guide you through each step, ensuring you feel comfortable and informed.
Preparation for your screening
To prepare for your cardiac screening, we recommend:
- Wearing comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the chest for testing.
- Avoiding caffeine before your appointment.
- Bringing a list of any medications you are currently taking.
Arriving a few minutes early will help ensure a smooth process.
Your results
After your screening, a detailed report will be sent to one of our consultant cardiologists. They will then providing clear explanations and recommendations for any necessary follow-up actions. Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and tools to manage your heart health effectively.
