What is included in cardiac screening?
Each package includes a consultation with a Clinical Scientist. The tests included depend on the package you choose:
- Basic cardiac screening: consultation, electrocardiogram (ECG) and blood pressure check.
- Basic cardiac screening plus: consultation, ECG, blood pressure check and cardiac blood profile.
- Standard cardiac screening: consultation, ECG, blood pressure check and echocardiogram (heart ultrasound).
- Enhanced cardiac screening: consultation, ECG, blood pressure check, echocardiogram and cardiac blood profile.

How long does cardiac screening take?
Appointments last approximately 15 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes, depending on your screening package.
Preparing for your screening
Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to your chest for testing, and bring a list of any medications you take.
Follow the preparation instructions provided with your appointment, including any instructions relating to blood tests. Contact us beforehand if you are unsure what you need to do.
Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment.
Your screening results
Results are provided within 5 working days of completing your tests. Your screening report will be sent to one of our consultant cardiologists for review, with explanations of the findings and recommendations for any follow-up.
